Needed help/advice about search file filter

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with the file filter in the search options:
I'm not able to filter the search by file extension for example, whatever check I put or remove in the file extensions to search, neither in the inclusive nor exclusive section, nothing changes in the search results.
I also tried to add the full name of a known duplicate file to the filter, to be excluded, but it continues to appear in the search results.
I'm probably missing some trivial detail about settings, do you have any ideas?
Could it be a bug?

Thank you!

Is the "Use File Filter" checkbox activated?

Thank you for your response!
I've checked again just now and yes, "Use File Filter" in the Search Option tab is activated.
I noticed a strange behavior of my AllDup that I do not understand:
when I activate the checkbox of a certain filter, for example in the "Inclusive" tab, it is automatically replicated also in the "Exclusive" list.
For example if I check the default filter "*.jpg" in the Inclusive tab the checkbox is also replicated in the Exclusive tab...
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program but it didn't help.
Thank you for your attention!

You're saying that enabling 1, causes both Inclusive & Exclusive to become enabled in 2?
.

Quick help - How to scan only png files:
1. activate the "Use File Filter" checkbox
2. activate the "Inclusive..." radio button
3. activate the "*.png" filter checkbox

As a user who did not notice that checkbox yesterday for about 10-15 minutes, it would be good when the check box is not selected the options below would be greyed out. Thank you for such a great program.

AllDup Search Option + Filter.png
Damn, I got it!
Thank you so much Therube!
I was missing THAT ONE checkbox!
I probably unchecked it accidentally and then I didn't "see" it anymore, and so later when I was looking at that little square it seemed to me a simple graphic element without any importance!
What a fool I've been!
Furthermore, when the Administrator first told me to select the "Use file filter" checkbox, I misunderstood.
I thought he was referring to "Confirm use of file and folder filter" in the Search Options tab!
I'm so sorry for wasting both of your time, and I'm so very grateful to both of you for helping me understand my mistake!
Before this episode I was already thinking about making a PayPal donation because I've tried many duplicate search software and found that AllDup is the best one...
Now I won't wait any longer and I'll make the donation!
Thank you so much!

I agree with you Ahmetgns! (Have you already read my explanation above?)
