Im currently not sure how to implement a new & useful placeholder for the action 'Rename files' at the file manager in your case.

yes, thats correct, starting an app without explicit admin rights will run the app as an normal user without admin rights.
you should right-click AllDup and choose "run as admin..". this could fix your problem.

Check the access permissions of the files you want to delete. An admin doesnt have the rights to delete all files on the computer.

All available placeholders for renmaing files at the file manager are listed in AllDup's manual.

This is currently not possible. There is no placeholder for "date taken". I will note this on our ToDo-List.

"Compare file contents" does not work because he wants to compare PNG's against JPG...
