Find similar pictures between 2 source folders not working?

I found this feature to be most helpful in finding duplicate photos. It cuts down on the run time and tells me which new downloaded picture files are redundant but now it doesn't seem to be working.

Using between 2 source folders finds no duplicates. If I switch to search all folders it will find many duplicates but I specifically only want to see between the new folders. I moved one directory to another drive and no luck. I put a test .jpg file in each directory I'm comparing and it doesn't find them.

This is a great feature, what is the trick to getting it working again?

I just updated from 4.5.46 to 4.5.48 and then noticed it wasn't working.

Did this feature worked correctly with 4.5.46 and after updating to 4.5.48 it stop working?

Thanks. Before I went to bed last night, I started 4 scans for comparison.

Then as I was brushing my teeth realized that I needed to run a controlled test case.

The 4 big scans (10,000/folder) did as expected but I had cleaned up most of the duplicates and had to turn the match down to 85% and things gets messy when I do that (with false matches).

The small test cases I did this morning also worked as expected and the different source folders gives me what I want (sorting new incoming pictures to my vetted pictures). However, the different source folder comparison did more comparisons and took longer which is surprising.

But, on the big scan the between folders took ~1 hour and all folders took ~3hrs as expected. The between folders option works great.
