AHash, etc Search Methods

i see NONE of these methods (aHash etc) mentioned in Search Method (or anywhere elese), and i notice a screenshot from someone else here shows the very same Search Method screen/options as me.
and i see a link to some info on this does NOT work
i ONLY have -= byte, MD%, and various SHA
am i missing something here?
btw, the reason i ask is that i need to find exact dup images of different size eg thumbnails so i can delete them, at the moment i hv thousands cluttering up my folders, but i cannot just delete blindly by size; i need to compare the actual image first (in case i have already accidently deleted the full size image instead of the thumbnail with this app or Visipic.
