Can someone help me understand in plain language what this means? Tried the manual but it just re-iterates. Thanks.

This is confusing to me also. An archive in computer-speak is usually a rar, zip or other compressed file. I wonder if this is a translation error?

AllDup enables you to find files from inside different archive formats.
This command will let you remove all groups that contain only files from inside archives....

Is the following correction?
1. all commands under Remove, just clean up results to make it look nicer, they never delete any files
2. This new command removes the group(s) that are populated with purely compressed files
3. The use case is to focus on differences btw compressed and uncompressed, not btw the compressed

If true, I think it's better to have "hide" then remove. The "Remove" is mixing up filtering and views.

Thanks, I understand now. But there's also "Remove all groups with files not exist in all source folders" under Search Options.

What exactly does this option filter out?

This option is useful when you search multiple source folders and some files not exist in all source folders.

Don't understand the bolded part. The only reference to the concept of "source folder" is under Comparison Method.

Is it safer/best to "Compare files from all source folders" and don't "remove all groups with files not exist in all source folders"? safer that users don't miss any dups.

What does "some files not exist" means? the manual doesn't have any explanation of this option.

For instance, if a pair is in different sub-folders, does this option filter out the match?

Should I leave it un-checked?

Example:

you search the source folders AA, BB and CC and a group contain only files from the source folders AA and BB: this group would be removed.
