#5 - Access Denied [SetFileSecurityWide]

Hello,

I'm not accomplishing my backup routines, after I reinstalled Windows. I am running Windows 8 Professional x64, with the version 3.5.64 of AllSync. I am getting the following error: #5 - Access Denied [SetFileSecurityWide]
I start the application as administrator and even then get this error. Can anyone help me?

1. the file access is blocked because a other software uses this file

2. the user of AllSync dont have enough access rights to the change file. to be a windows admin doesnt mean you have all rights at your system.

Hi,

When I used Windows 7, I had this problem. Now in Windows 8, you know how I can solve this? Should I configure something else in AllSync?

try this:

1. make a copy of the file
2. delete the file
3. restore the copied file

or:

deactivate the copy rule "Transfer access permissions of files and folders"

I disabled the "copy rule" and it worked... thank you very much !
