New action to perform on selected duplicate files:
Replace duplicate file with an empty placeholder. The name could be set by the user and special tags would be replaced by AllDup.
Example configuration:
Deleted Dup <DATE_DELETED>-<TIME_DELETED> <FILENAME>.<FILEEXT>
Physician Report.docx would become
Deleted Dup 20100216-142523 Physician Report.docx

I added "Setting the file size to zero and rename the file" to our ToDo-List.

Thanks for getting this feature into the application so quickly!
If I change the name or check "Set file size to zero" it is reset back to the default when I close and re-open the window again. Should it be retained?

Thanks for the hint. The settings will be saved with the next update. Drop me a email for a new update if you need the fix now.

Thanks for the fast response! I can wait for the next update to get this fix.
The design of the feature is sufficient for me, but I think others might want a little more safety. If they mistakenly zero out a file there isn't a way to recover. Should the original file be moved to the recycle bin?

Set file size to zero doesn't work for me in 3.3.25.

I think we found the problem. Do you have activated the option "Don't log any file actions"?
