How to avoid Overlapping

Post by drpeppercan »

Sources:
1. G:\BackUps\Manual Backups\JDL Artworks
2. G:\BackUps\Manual Backups\Photos & Videos\JDL Artworks

The JDL Artworks folder in #1 is the larger folder. Hence I want to keep it, and delete its counter part in #2. However, before I delete it I would like to confirm that it doesn't contain files that #1 doesn't have.

When I run the search AllDups says that the sources overlap. How should about this so it'll do what I need?

Thanks a bunch in advance

That's not possible with AllDup. You will need a folder sync software like AllSync to compare both folders.

What source folders are you using when you get the overlap message? The two source folders you listed do not overlap.
