Would it be possible to make it so that a scan can be stopped and saved, then continued later? If a scan takes a particularly long time, it is not always possible to just let it run and would be good if it could be stopped and resumed later on.
(I recently had a scan that went for ~12 hours. It was not even close to being finished, so I had to pause it and put my system into standby because I could not shutdown. The next day, I brought my system out of standby and resumed the scan for another ~10 hours. Again, it was not close to being finished, so I paused the scan and put my system into standby, but it didn’t work and my system hung. I had to reset my computer, losing the >20 hours that AllDup had spent scanning. If it were possible to stop the scan and save it, I could have shutdown and resumed without having to start all over again from scratch.)
