Backup senario

Post by yung »

I am backing up over 200 gigs to an NAS drive from a server
I did an 1 to 1 copy to the NAS drive, this took 25 hours to complete, to get the intial files copied

I want to do a daily backup to the NAS drive of the files that have been modified that day.
What is the best way to set this up and set up the email to send me the logs, so it doesn't take forever, during the day, we may modify or add 100 files or so.

I did an update, but that also took over 24 hours to complete.

Thanks

Please use the copy mode "1:1 copy" for your backup job.
email to send me the logs
The AllSync Scheduler enables you to get an email after the copy operation of your profile is finished.

Check the FAQ entry "Why may the source and destination files still show a difference of a few seconds after a copy operation?": http://www.mtsd.de/help/a_faq.htm#2-1

Copy method C is faster if you transfer data over a network connection.
