i had to check several times to be sure it wasn't AudioDup app i was talking about, but it IS Alldup = in fact it just did it again now.
I have found that Alldup frequently just closes down after doing a match/search. the Alldup session just disappears w/o a 'sound' or any error
it SEEMS to be related to when it is NOT focussed, ie i am not actively watching the search happen, but that could just be co-incidence - although from memory it has never happened when i HAVE been watching a search,
and it is most aggravating because it is usually after i have been waiting for some time for the results of a large search and it finishes and then i see the session just closes.

Do you know if the search had completed before it disappeared?
What search parameters are you using?
Are you searching file meta-data, like exif data? If so, it might be coming across something it is not liking, & aborting?

it is like it 'gets the huff' because no-one is paying attention.
it NEVER happens as far as i can recall when i am actually watching session
