Problems with filters

Post by Ivaneck »

Hello,

Please, how this case can be explained? :

Image

This folder, \System Volume Information, is filtered, as you can see here:

I have a similar case with a file, D:\Files\PCrypt.VCdsk. It contains an encrypted volume. This volume is always mounted as the P: disk unit. At 300 GB, it is not a candidate to be synchronized every day. It is better to synchronize its contents.

To make with AllSync the backup of this file, I mount E:\Files\PCrypt.VCdsk, the file in the AllSync's 'Destination' unit, as Q:. Then, I synchronize from P: to Q:. In this context, D:\Files\PCrypt.VCdsk and E:\Files\PCrypt.VCdsk should be excluded from any Synchronization process:

, but I get errors and I'm unable to set the filters properly:

I would be very grateful if you could give me a hand with these questions.

The pictures at your post are not visible...

Why do you want to exclude files from the drive D: and E: if you synchronize files from P: to Q: ?

These files in D: and E: are containers. They contain encrypted disk volumes, mounted as P: and Q:

VeraCrypt - Creates a virtual encrypted disk within a file and mounts it as a real disk.

Perhaps with pictures it will be easier to understand the issue. If not, please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have.

We tried to reproduce this error, but our filter is working fine:

folder filter.png

Deactivate the 2. option at the rules for deleting files and folders:
