Re: Search Result Grouping Enhancement
It's not exactly a flat list. If you sort by group, it will sort by the filename referenced by the group. However, if you sort by path, only the path within the group would change and the groups would remain unchanged. Is it possible to add tree view as an additional feature? introduce additional gr...

Re: Search Result Grouping Enhancement
From your screenshot, the ascending ordering on the path is hierarchical thus correct, when the file names are identical. From my screenshot, it shows path sorting is disrupted i.e. non-hierarchical when filenames are dis-similar. The only way this makes sense is that AllDup aggregates all files in ...

Re: Search Result Grouping Enhancement
It jumped from sub1 to sub2, then back to sub 1. It's expected when sorting by path, it goes sub1 then sub2 and not back again.

Re: Search Result Direct File Operations
This would be perfect, especially with the planned image thumbnail feature.
The Edit Hot Key allows the Control key so I can map these two file operations to Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V.

Re: Search Result Direct File Operations
Both if possible. Windows Explorer is now considered a tax to AllDup. It's slow, cut/paste can fail at times and it cost more clicks to specify the varying destination folder each time. It's the partial contributor why so much dup and similar files can accumulate over time. WYSIWYG is far more intui...

Re: Any way to compare Track Duration too?
Maybe just display in the search results but don't actually add to comparison? such a feature would work so great with video files too. Also, allow video file audio tracks to be compared in this way.

Re: Search Result Grouping Enhancement
Yes that's a very ideal case where it works.
However, in reality, similar dups come in this way: It makes me wonder how the comparison is done because % similar is non-directional. So is it up to the sequence of discovery aka ascending folder structure?? Thanks.

Search Result Direct File Operations
I understand it's possible to use AllDup's existing functions or the Windows Explorer to move files between searched folders. But it'd be much faster to be able to select any number of files, cut, and select another folder within the search result and hit paste. This way, the moved files would autom...

Search Result Grouping Enhancement
Here's some possible enhancements to the result presentation: 1. Additional grouping by folder structure, for Folder1/Sub1 and Folder1/Sub2, introduce additional grouping by Folder 1, with no % Match, but with Size and # duplicates 2. Allow path to be the first column 3. Allow sort path by ascending...

Duplicated Folder Search
Will duplicated folders also be considered by AllDup? with options to merge the duplicated to another parent. Or, when a duplicated folder is empty, just delete. Thanks.

Re: Parallel Operations
From the users' point of view, parallelism is great but not the only a small part of performance boost: 1. Ability to refresh a search. This would eliminate the re-comparison operations on the whole underlying set. Sometimes it's just faster to manually change the directories directly without going ...

Video Similarity Search?
As of now, AllDup's % similar looks at video files byte by byte, not logically as images. Given AllDup can do image similarity search, and video files are just containers of images, would video similarity search be considered incremental to the current code base? See this example: https://github.com...

Re: 4.40 File Manager Minimizes Results Window
After opening the delete menu, the App will hide the result window and there's no way to show it again...the only way is to close delete menu. But if you close it, the delete menu won't remember your planned action(s) and you'd second guess your actions by staring at the monitor. Either make delete ...
